Moon Hike
Mount Coolidge Lookout Tower

What better than enjoying a full moon evening, watching it from one of the best locations in Custer State Park? Join us as we hike up to Mount Coolidge fire tower to watch the full moon. We will discuss fire in the park, history, and the full moon of February. This hike has a large elevation gain and is approximately 4 miles round trip. Walking conditions may be slippery. Participants should dress for the weather and be aware of changing weather conditions. Meet at the Heddy Draw parking area at the base of Mt. Coolidge. Hike departs at 5pm.
There is no fee to participate, however, a park entrance license is required to enter the park and may be purchased at the Park Office from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. during the week, or at the Visitor Center which is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
