Join South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks staff, along with the Humane Society of the Black Hills for a hike with a shelter dog. This is a wonderful opportunity to get outside and enjoy the Mickelson Trail and a great benefit for the dogs to help manage kennel stress, burn off energy and get more exposure in their communities.
The hike will start at the Burlington Northern Hill City Trailhead at 10:00 a.m. At that point participants will be paired with a dog for the hike. Remember to dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes. The hike will last approximately two hours.
